Who we are
Modoka is a Dutch video game developer and publisher, based in Zwolle, the Netherlands. Modoka is responsible for the processing of personal data described in this policy.
What we collect
- Contact form: the name, email address and message you enter when you send us a message.
- Visit statistics: how often each page is viewed, per day, and whether it is viewed on a phone or a computer. This is counted without cookies and without IP addresses.
- Language choice: if you switch the language, your choice is saved in your own browser so the site stays in that language. It is not sent to us.
Why we use your data
We use your name, email address and message only to read and answer your message. We do not use them for advertising and we do not sell them.
We process this data because you ask us a question, and because we have a legitimate interest in running and improving our website.
Who receives your data
Messages from the contact form are stored by the company that hosts this website, in a data centre in the European Union, and are sent by email to Modoka's mailbox, which is a Gmail account.
Content from other services
Some pages show content from other services: the map on the contact page (Google Maps), game trailers (YouTube) and fonts (Google Fonts). These services can receive your IP address and may set cookies under their own policies.
Download buttons and social media icons lead to external websites, such as Google Play, the Amazon Appstore, itch.io, GamersGate, IndieDB, the Internet Archive, Gamebrew, X, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn and GitHub. Their own privacy policies apply once you leave our site.
Cookies
This website does not use tracking or advertising cookies of its own. The third-party content described above can set its own cookies.
How long we keep data
We keep messages no longer than needed to handle your question.
Your rights
You have the right to see the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to limit or object to its use, and to receive a copy of it. To use these rights, send us a message through the contact form.
If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always on this page.
